South Scrimshaw finally has another chapter! At over 60 new illustrations it is the project’s largest update so far. It is free to download as always.

This is just a short update to function as the project’s proof of life. I don’t have too much to add beyond I hope someone enjoys it.

The sense of relief and/or accomplishment that usually accompanies an update is largely spoiled by the disappointment that it took so long to get done. Other jobs were monopolizing my time, and those haven't provided any stability for personal side projects, they just eat time and energy. I have plans to make the next updates faster, but that still relies I have to time to focus on my art in the first place.

Anyway to end on a more positive note, it is still fun making visual novels. It's also fun visiting itch.io again and seeing what's new. Knowing it's an underrated medium makes even a difficult experiment of a project feel worthwhile.
